At some point during care, medications may be prescribed as part of the treatment regimen. Medications can work well in conjunction with other treatment modalities. For the safety of our patients, APMA follows strict federal guidelines (adhering to the current CDC guidelines) and has set mandatory office policies in place when prescribing Class II medications.

Those prescribed a controlled substance at APMA agree to:

  • Mandatory Opioid use contracts
  • Monthly pill counts
  • Mandatory Urine Drug Screens

We do not prescribe sleep medications or benzodiazepines for anxiety. These types of medications will need to be prescribed by a primary care physician or psychologist.
